Erasmus EUCOPP Meeting at DDLETB Wed 14th November 2018

Welcome and Introduction 10:00 – 12:15

This was a meeting of Irish, Norwegian and for the First time Estonian Partners

We met up and it was a great union with Norwegian Colleagues and some new friends too.  
The proceedings began with formal Welcome to the partners by Fionnuala Anderson, followed by Presentations from Geraldine Condron of DDLETB,  Sinead Kelly on the ToY Initiative,  Michael Foley from Dundrum on their TEL T & L Strategy, myself Kymberly Dunne on Business Education at FE and was chaired by the Irish Leaders Enda Kenny and Tina Reddin.

Geraldine gave a short presentation on The work of DDLETB in Further Education for the Partners.

After all the presentations there were a series of conversations in order to agree the Work shadowing preparation workshop, Plan visits and discuss presentations that visitors might like to make to students.

Thursday 15th November Dinner and Cultural Activity - Irish Dancing. It's fun to get together and have something good to eat at least once a day. That's what human life is all about - enjoying things. Julia Child As always the sharing and Networking and getting to know each other is easier over some nice food. Visit to BFEI and Lexicon Library Wednesday 15th November - Afternoon

The art of teaching is the art of assisting discovery.  After saying our goodbyes to the lovely staff at Greenhills, I drove Kirsty, Kyrsty and Maria over to Blackrock to my own college. There we were joined by the other Norwegians,   Tonje,  Analina and  Heidi. Enjoying lunch at BFEI from left is Hans Ole Møkkelgård and Maria from Norway with on RHS Tina Reddin, Eucopp Committee,Deirdre Hanamy BFEI Principal and Breda Lillis BFEI Deputy Principal    We had a lovely chat and sharing of information over lunch and then we began a tour of the facilities at BFEI.  I had been involved in putting this element together to present to the Erasmus Group.  DDLETB staff members Giovanni and ? meet with Heidi from Norway.  One of our first stops was to Karen Daly class  in  CPR.  The students were learning how to use a  Defibrillator.  This training is par...

Presentation and final plenary session - 16th November Afternoon

brainyquote.com We returned to the HQ for a final discussion and wrap up. The Norwegian delegation expressed their pleasure at their experience and made some lovely presentations to some of the Irish hosts. There was general feedback on the overall success of the event.  At this point the thoughts began to turn to the return trip by the Irish participants to Norway.
