 November 15th Teresa demonstrates the pulse oxometer Nursing classroom at Greenhills Explaining the nursing course Discussion on the nursing course.  Class in Nursing Theory & Practice     Teresa is a  Working nurse – She works in cardiac care  at  Tallaght  Hospital in addition to her teaching.    The class topic was in nursing assessment,  Looking at planning for  patient  care.      Teresa has written on the white board that it was World COPD day and brought many discussions back to this fact.      Teresa used a scenario/ patient in order to apply the concepts in  the   Nursing  care plan.    Good use of questioning  throughout.    Actual professional paperwork from   Tallaght  Hospital  was used.    Teresa made great u se of magic white board.  ...

Presentation and final plenary session - 16th November Afternoon

brainyquote.com We returned to the HQ for a final discussion and wrap up. The Norwegian delegation expressed their pleasure at their experience and made some lovely presentations to some of the Irish hosts. There was general feedback on the overall success of the event.  At this point the thoughts began to turn to the return trip by the Irish participants to Norway. Visit to BFEI and Lexicon Library Wednesday 15th November - Afternoon

The art of teaching is the art of assisting discovery.  After saying our goodbyes to the lovely staff at Greenhills, I drove Kirsty, Kyrsty and Maria over to Blackrock to my own college. There we were joined by the other Norwegians,   Tonje,  Analina and  Heidi. Enjoying lunch at BFEI from left is Hans Ole Møkkelgård and Maria from Norway with on RHS Tina Reddin, Eucopp Committee,Deirdre Hanamy BFEI Principal and Breda Lillis BFEI Deputy Principal    We had a lovely chat and sharing of information over lunch and then we began a tour of the facilities at BFEI.  I had been involved in putting this element together to present to the Erasmus Group.  DDLETB staff members Giovanni and ? meet with Heidi from Norway.  One of our first stops was to Karen Daly class  in  CPR.  The students were learning how to use a  Defibrillator.  This training is par...
